'Can we go now?' Funmi asked, already impatient, she kept glancing at her watch. There was no response. She sighed and stormed back into the living room, and found Femi buckling Temi's sandals.
'She's coming with us?' Funmi asked, half screaming.
'Yes she is, I can't leave her home alone'
'There's no way we're taking that girl with us, she's just going to embarrass us there'.
Femi looked up, the anger vivid on his face.
'Embarrass us, or embarrass you?, I'd rather not go, than leave her at home alone'.
He grabbed temi's hands and stormed back into the bedroom.
Funmi stood there, her anger mixed with desperation, the tears suddenly started to roll down her cheeks, she quickly wiped it off and slumped into a chair.
' I just wanted to be happy, today of all days'
She said to herself, trying desperately to fight the tears.
